Dear editor:

I came to Branson for our family summer vacation. It was good to be in a family oriented atmosphere where belief in God and the Christian religion are so openly expressed.

Christians pray that God's kingdom will come on earth. But it is important to remember that God's kingdom is not here yet.

Before being tortured to death by soldiers Jesus said the following, "My Kingdom is not of this earth, If it were, my followers would fight ... But my Kingdom is not of this world." In his Sermon on the Mount Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers." In our current earthly world those who fight are honored.

Like other Christians I look forward to God's eternal kingdom where peacemakers are honored instead.
