Private services for Dorothy Mae Erland, 98, of Branson, were held with family and friends. Burial was at Ozarks Memorial Park, Branson. Services and arrangements were under the direction of Whelchel Grace Funeral Home, Branson.

 She died May 28, 2019. Dorothy was born Oct. 3, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daugther of Albert and Anna Ockenfels. She and her husband, Carol Wayne Erland, farmed in Iowa, until 1970, when they made the decision to retire to Branson. 

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Branson. She spent many hours volunteering at Jesus Was Homeless making sandwiches for those less fortunate and making quilts for the homeless. 

She won a Texas two-step dance championship, in Ill. She loved flowers and birds, and enjoyed playing in bowling leagues for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Wayne Erland; seven brothers and sisters and grandson, Jeff Erland. 

Survivors include her children, Rita (Louie) West, Janice (Maurice) Barth, Joyce Sullivan and Larry Erland; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and her companion of 18 years, Ralph Vincent.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus, 3044 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, Branson Mo. 65616.
