Services for Ewing Monroe Gibson, 92, was held April 19, 2019, at Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Kimberling City, Mo., with Pastor Eddie Brown officiating. Burial was at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo. Arrangements were under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, Mo. 

He died April 16, 2019.

Ewing was born April 15, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., son of Blanche and Harold Gibson. He graduated from Odessa High School and at the age of 18, he entered the U.S. Navy, serving two years at the end of World War II. He entered pharmacy school on the GI bill and graduated from the University of Kansas City Pharmacy School, in 1953. His first job was in Higginsville, Mo. where he met Shirley Yeoman, a high school teacher. They were married on June 10, 1955. He worked at Plaza Pharmacy, in Sedalia, Mo., until retirement in 1992. In 2001, they moved to Branson and he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kimberling City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jeannine and daughter, Suzanne.

Survivors include his wife; son and daughter-in-law, David and Cheri and two step- grandsons.
