The man charged with killing his wife at a Branson hotel last week has been arrested, according to the Branson Police Department.

Thomas Brown, 68, of California, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of his wife, Marilyn Brown. Her body was discovered Sunday at the Ramada Resort and Convention Center on 76 Country Boulevard.

According to police, Thomas Brown's vehicle was located at the Hampton Inn in Branson early Thursday morning, about 2 a.m.

Brown, who was the only person in the hotel room, was taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was then obtained for the room and the suspect’s vehicle. A firearm was located in the suspect’s room. It is  unknown at this time if this weapon was used in the commission of the crime. Forensic test results will be forthcoming, according to police.

Brown is currently awaiting transport to the Taney County Jail.

Such a horrible thing to happen. Why in our beautiful city of Branson?? Or anywhere?? I'm glad he is in custody. Such a terribly sad end to a relationship.

You never hear of anything like this happening in Branson. What should have been a couple enjoying their golden years together has turned in to a senseless tragedy. Such a sad story!
