A new restaurant has opened its doors on the Branson Landing. Mellow Mushroom does not just provide a laid back, family-friendly atmosphere where visitors can enjoy a wide range of pizzas and other goodies, they also provide for the community. During their grand opening ceremony July 24, Mellow Mushroom donated $6,800 to the Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks.
Stoney Hays, CEO, and Lyndi Carnelison, resource development director, accepted the donation on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club. Carnelison said the organization plans to put the money to work continuing to provide services and programs to area children. She said that as an organization who relies mainly on donations from the community, donations like this are invaluable.
“It’s a great community. There’s lots of really great people here; very family-oriented place. That’s why we chose the Boys & Girls Club. We love families, and we are passionate about that,” Mark Prior, director of operations of Mellow Mushroom, said regarding the opening of the restaurant in Branson and their donation to the Boys & Girls Club.
Mellow Mushroom is one of many new additions at the Branson Landing, including Andy B’s and Arcade City.
Nikki Sivils, director of marketing for the Branson Landing, described the excitement of adding the newest restaurant addition to the landing.
“As you can see, it’s really wild and the colors are great, and it definitely gives very much a color aspect to Branson Landing and with that comes all walks of life. And were really thrilled to be able to have, one, a great pizza place here, because we don’t have any pizza restaurants here, and secondly the vibe. You know, with the garage doors going up and kind of the graffiti art, you know, for us it’s just, its just what the landing needs.
“Were kind of wanting to get that younger, young family in here and this is the best to do it.”
