Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will be the featured speaker at The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks Thanks4Giving Gala Nov. 14.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee will be coming to Branson in November to speak at an annual Boys & Girls Club fundraisers. 

The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks announced Friday it is continuing its 25 Year Celebration with its 8th Annual, Thanks4Giving Gala. The event, which is the largest annual fundraiser for the Club, will be held Nov. 14 at the Branson Convention Center, according to a press release from the Club.

The political pundit and former presidential candidate will be the featured speaker for the evening, following a long line of well-known speakers, such as Rudy Giuliani, Sugar Ray Leonard and Terry Bradshaw.

Mike Huckabee was the 44th Governor of Arkansas from 1996 until 2007, becoming one of the longest serving Governors in the state’s history. In 2008 and 2016, he ran for President of the United States, finishing second in the Republican primary in 2008. He is currently the host of the TV show “Huckabee” on TBN, is a Fox News contributor, NY Times bestselling author of 12 books, and a frequent speaker all over the world.

“We are excited to have Mr. Huckabee join us as our featured speaker helping to round out our 25-year celebration,” Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks Board Chairman Nathan Woodward said in a press release. “We can all agree that children deserve a safe place to go afterschool and during the summer; a place that offers food security, outcome-based programs, mentors, friendships, character development and so much more. The Club currently impacts over 1,600 kids, offering outcome-based programs that focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and leadership & character development.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks (BGCO) is a non-profit, full-time, youth development organization offering club membership to all children ages 6-18 and is dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging, positive self-esteem, and accomplishment.
