GALENA — Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader will soon be talking to residents in the Lampe and Blue Eye areas to answer questions following the Jan. 31 double homicide.

“The neighbors down there are upset that something like that happened in their community,” Rader said. “I’m trying to get all my ducks in a row before I go down there so I have answers to their questions.”

Ken Ortman changes his statements continually about Lives Under Construction (LUC) Boys Ranch. He also can not make up his mind on what is going on with were the boys are being hired to cut Grass, Rake Leaves, throw Hay, Clean out houses of unused furniture and items that people don't want any more. Yes these boys have done much work down this DEAD END Trace Hollow Road (86-63) where the homicide was commited. In matter of fact the same two houses - One where the bodies were found and the Red house the boys stayed in until they killed the Brooks - are two houses and neighborhood that the boys are very familiar with. They were paid to cut grass and rake leaves at both residences. I even wrote Ken Ortman about disrepect of the boys and the person responsible for the boys being disrespectful with pictures included. So don't let them fool you all! Look what happened to the people that were paying the LUC Boys Ranch to care for their yard!

In this article Mr. Ortman states that the ranch takes in only level 3 boys that do not have a violent background. Accepting his statement as true, then evidently the methods and processes used at the ranch are creating and fostering violent behaviors in the boys. Including these murders I personally know about 3 violent incidents, and based on comments from others, there are many more violent acts perpertrated by boys that have been in the care of the LUC Boys Ranch. I urge and call for a complete investigation and audit of the policies, practices and procedures of the ranch by Missouri Attorney General.
