Additional charges issued in horse abuse case

    FORSYTH — Three suspects in the alleged animal abuse of several horses in Hollister are now facing abuse charges, in addition to earlier burglary charges.

    Amber Askins, 18, of Branson, and Chadd Smith, 29, of Hollister, were indicted by a grand jury on charges of burglary and animal abuse in late October. The warrants were served Nov. 20, and Nov. 21, according to the Missouri Courts website.
