‘Honor Flight’ screening pays tribute to veterans

Posted: Tuesday, April 23, 2013 3:15 pm

The Hamner Barber Theatre and Hospice Compassus are co-hosting a screening of the new film “Honor Flight” Sunday, April 29, at the Hamner Barber Theatre.

“Honor Flight” is a documentary that chronicles four World War II veterans and a Midwest community coming together to give them the trip of a lifetime, according to a press release. Volunteers race against the clock to fly thousands of WW II veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the memorial constructed for them nearly 60 years after the war ended.
