Race is back on

Local businessman will serve as mayor if elected

Posted: Saturday, March 30, 2013 12:00 am

The city of Branson’s mayoral race may not be so one-sided after all. Local businessman and mayoral candidate Larry Milton told the Branson Tri-Lakes News if the voters elected him mayor, he would accept the nomination, despite that he asked to be taken off the ballot last month.

“I shared with (Mayor) Raeanne (Presley) that I withdrew from running and campaigning and was no longer competing, and I have not had one interview or held one meeting,” Milton said. “If the people still voted me in, I would feel obligated to them to make a difference.”
