Forsyth’s finances improving, mayor says

FORSYTH — Forsyth is still operating in the red, but the city’s mayor said its financial shape is improving.

Mayor Michael Chipman said the city is operating at a $53,962.25 loss through the first three months of the current fiscal year, but that’s an improvement from last year’s first quarter margin, when the city was $92,603.64 in the hole.
