Man accused of stealing copper from businesses

trespassing, property damage, stealing charges

    FORSYTH — A Taney County man could be facing 11 years in prison for stealing copper tubing from 16 Branson businesses during a roughly six-week span this past summer.

    Frederick Reed, 37, is accused of cutting and taking the tubing from HVAC, or heating and cooling, systems of 13 businesses in the Apple Tree Mall shopping center and three other businesses on Falls Parkway between June 1 and July 16.
